For too long,
My misery felt like
A mystery.
For too long,
I tried to live around it, and not through it.
For too long,
I didn’t make room for
My misery,
In me.
I didn’t make room for me,
In me.
I started to learn how to stretch
The spaces in me
To find softness
In my misery.
Stretch, to reveal my misery
And be seen in all the moments
And mystery.
I stretched.
To make room for me,
In me.
I sat on the edge of melancholy
And misery.
Found comfort in the discomfort of my darkness.
Allowed my light to reveal and be revealed.
I love and live
Through it;
Not around it.
